SR-mjöl is marketing for eight Icelandic plants:

• Sildarvinnslan hf, Hafnarbraut 6,  740 Neskaupstadur. This plant is on the east coast and can process on average 1000 tonnes per day. It is equipped with two Hetland indirect hot air driers
• Sildarvinnslan hf, Vetrarbraut 12, 580 Siglufjordur. Situated on the north coast, this plant can process daily approximately 1400 tonnes of raw fish and is equipped with three Hetland indirect hot air driers. 
• Sildarvinnslan hf, Strandvegur 1-11,  710 Seydisfjordur. Situated on the east coast, this plant can process on average 1200 tonnes per day. It is equipped with two Hetland indirect hot air driers. 
• Sildarvinnslan hf, Adalbraut 16 - 22, 675 Raufarhofn.  This plant is situated on the north east of  Iceland and can process on average 700 tonnes per day. It is equipped with a direct hot air drier. 
• Sildarvinnslan hf, Stakksbraut 5, Helguvik, 230 Reykjanesbaer. This is the newest plant in Iceland and is situated on the south west peninsula. It can process on average 900 tonnes per day and is equipped with two Hetland indirect hot air driers.
•  Skeggey ehf, Kirkjubraut 30, 780 Höfn. This plant on the south east of the country, can process 500 tonnes per day through steam dryers.

These six plants have a total capacity of about 6000 tonnes of raw material per day.  If this is based on average yields of meal and oil, this is equivalent to 1200 tonnes of fishmeal and 450 tonnes of fish oil per day.

All of these plants are registered with the Icelandic Fisheries Directorate, which is the official body responsible for production of fishmeal and fish oil.
